TRITON
Triton
The team Triton is the merger of 5 members of Sea Horse and 2 of Apollo VIII from Fafe's Secondary School officially created on 12th October 2023.
Sea Horse
The team Sea Horse was formed due to the passion of 6 students with Formula 1. After every effort, it was possible to achieve the Technical Specification award in the first year.
Apollo VIII
The team Apollo VIII has emerged as an iniciative of the Physics and Chemistry subject as a project to invest. After all the work, the team reached the 3rd place in the nacional finals with the best moment and fastest car awards.
Team Name
It was agreed by every member the name should be something simple, yet strong and flashy. It was also desired to relate it to the ocean due to our concerns about its current state. Therefore, Triton offered us an opportunity to not only obtain these aspects, but also associate us with Greek mythology, conferring additional strength.
F1 in Schools National Competition 2024
Competition
During the national competition we learned many lessons and met many new people. This competition helped us a lot to evolve as we took positive points from other teams to strengthen our team.
We thank all the teams who made this day unforgettable and all the teachers who supported us throughout the day.
Awards
At the end of the day, despite some tests not going as planned, we managed to obtain the best business award and also third place nationally! These awards are the result of a lot of commitment, dedication and work. With third place, we were invited by the competition to participate in the world final in Saudi Arabia from November 23rd to 26th.
Car
Team Triton's car truly shows our colours, as it represents and embodies all of our work on the different areas of the project. Besides, the intricate designing process behind it really shows how we work and the high level we try to achieve. The main idea behind the final car was to bring into play different models of real life racing cars. So, after a lot of testing we ended up with our final design, which included only the best parts, sinergy and speed wise.
Stand
Team Triton’s pit display at the F1 in Schools Portugal National Finals showcases our dedication to engineering excellence and teamwork. With a clean, professional design, it highlights our car, detailed design iterations, and interactive tablets where visitors can explore our project. The backdrop features team member roles and sponsor logos, honouring the support from partners that helped us throughout our project.
F1 in Schools World Finals
After achieving thir place nationally, we were invited to participate in the world finals of F1 in Schools which will take place in Dammam, Saudi Arabia from 23-26 of November.

Triton relates to the ocean and aims to share the message of its current state. Tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year so if we want to live the tomorrow we need to take action and protect it!
Ocean Alive
The Ocean Alive is an Potuguese institution dedicated to the cleaning of beaches and oceans. Our ideia is that we are going to give this institution 20% of the money that we raise to our team.
